Introduction
Below I maintain a few different types of information. First, I start with a historical record of the books I’ve read. For each book I read, I provide the date I started my reading, the date I end my reading, and sometimes the person that recommended that book to me. Whenever possible, I provide links to the author’s personal website and the website for the book project itself. I organize my reading based on the year that I started each book. This helps me track how many books I read each year.
I started tracking the list in this form on September 9, 2019. Prior to that date, there are hundreds of books that I read but did not track my start and end dates methodically. At the bottom of this page, I list some of those books without any time stamps.
For anyone interested, please check out my blog post titled Deep Reading Systems. In that article, I highlight some of the ways I think about reading. One of my favorite habits is focuses on trying to read every day of my life. I am currently working to include information on the type of reading I am doing for each book I list here. My goal for 2023 is to exploratory read 24+ books, filter read 6+ book, and deep read at least 2 books. I also want to be more intentional about tracking teach type of reading I am doing on this list.
Finally, at the very bottom of this page I have a list of books that I am interested in learning more about. I call this my queue, though I’m not committed to reading every book on that list nor do I have any strong feeling that I will read those books in any order.
